CPI to continue support to Cong Govt in Pondy

Puducherry, July 9 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) would continue to support the Congress Government in Puducherry though the Left parties had withdrawn support to the UPA Government at the Centre, CPI State Secretary Na Ra Kalainathan said today.

In a chat with newspersons here, Mr Kalainathan said the CPI was providing outside support to the Rangasamy Government and it would continue.

The CPI had two members, one elected and one nominated, in the Territorial Assembly.
