Woman arrested for carrying ganja in city
Chennai, Jul 8 (UNI) Police today arrested a woman and seized 30 kg of Ganja from her at the Kilpauk area in the city.
Police personnel, dressed in civvies, intercepted the women, Lakshmi and a person, as they were found moving under suspicious circumstances.
As the man managed to escape, police checked the bag carried by the woman and found contraband in it.
The woman admitted that she had procured the narcotic substance from a vendor in Koyambedu market and was taking it to her house for packing them in small containers for sale.
