Patil issues warning to cinema hall owners
Mumbai, Jul 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today warned the owners of cinema halls and multiplexes against side-tracking of the Marathi films.
In a meeting held at the Sahyadri government guest house here and called at the behest of Marathi producers, Mr Patil said the theaters and multiplexes would have to furnish bonds that they will show Marathi films in their theaters for a certain number of weeks every year.
Otherwise, their licenses would not be renewed.
The meeting was attended among others by office-bearers of Marathi Film Producers' Association and owners of theaters and multiplexes.
