Narmada water project to accomplish by 2009: MP govn
Bhopal, July 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Public Health Engineering Minister Choudhary Chandrabhan Singh today informed the Assembly that Narmada Water Project, which was aimed at bringing water to here, would be accomplished on June 2009.
In a written reply to Mr Umashankar Gupta (BJP), Mr Singh said that the project was approved on February 28, 2005 and set to complete next year. The work was in process according to the plan.
Refusing that department showed swiftness in purchasing pipes, the minsiter said that it has not been adopting lax attitude in rest work.
''The principal work is given on contract and attempts are being made to complete the project soon but it is not possible to tell the time frame,'' he added.
