Mah: Munde demands dissolution of LS
Pune, Jul 8: BJP leader Gopinath Munde today demanded the dissolution of the Lok Sabha saying that the Congress-led UPA government was losing support within its coalition partners and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi had lost her charisma and her hold in keeping the partners together.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Munde said while the Congress was losing ground, the NDA was growing without naming anybody. In the present political climate, it was necessary for the Congress to seek a fresh mandate from the people and call for elections, he said.
''We have already declared our candidate for the post of Prime Minister and will release the names of around 250 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections next month. In Maharashtra, due to the delimitation, we need to talk to our alliance partners the Shiv Sena with regard to seven seats, there will be no problem on that score,'' Mr Munde said.
Regarding the state, he said they had an understanding with the Shiv Sena, that the Cheif Minister would belong to the party having more numbers in the Assembly. ''We have faith in Sena Chief Bal Thackeray and there is good understanding between us,'' he said.
