Left withdrawal not to affect UPA Government : Fatmi
Darbhanga, Jul 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development M A A Fatmi today claimed that withdrawal of support by the Left would not affect the UPA government.
Mr Fatmi told reporters here that the UPA Government had not lost its majority in the House and it was prepared to prove the same as and when warranted.
'' Proposed Indo-US Nuclear deal is in the interest of the nation and will help meet the growing demand of energy for industrial growth and needs of the masses, '' Mr Fatmi maintained.
The Union Minister welcomed the announcement of the Samjawadi Party to support the UPA Government and said other secular parties were also prepared to support the government in national interest.
The Congress-RJD alliance would continue in the next Lok Sabha, and other like-minded parties would be free to be a part of the alliance if they expressed their willingness to do so, he added.
