Kerala HC directs CBI to investigate theft case
Kochi, Jul 8 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the CBI to investigate a theft case registered against Uday Kumar, a youth arrested by the police in Thiruvananthapuram in 2005, who died in police custody.
Justice R Basant gave the direction on a petition filed by Uday Kumar's mother J Prabhavati Amma.
The court had earlier directed the CBI to investigate the death of Uday Kumar on September 27, 2005, while he was in the custody of Fort Police at Thiruvananthapuram, which had lodged a theft case against him.
