Former minister Venkat Rao passes away
Hyderabad, Jul 8 (UNI) Former Minister and Congress MLA from Mylavaram Constituency in Krishna District, Chanumolu Venkat Rao died, while undergoing treatment for a kidney ailment at a corporate hospital in the city today.
He was 78 and is survived by three daughters and a son. he was admitted to the hospital a month ago.
Born on February 10, 1932, at Valgalaru in G Kondur Mandal, he was elected as Congress MLA from Mylavaram Constituency in 1967, 1972, 1979, 1986 and 2004.
He was the Minister for Roads and Buildings in Jalagam Vengal Rao Cabinet and served as Agriculture Minister under Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy Government.
