Brahampura finds empty chairs in rural development offices
Chandigarh, Jul 8 (uni) Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Ranjit Singh Brahampura today found about 60 per cent of the officers and employees absent from their offices during a surprise check at the offices of his department situated at Chandigarh this morning.
In a press release issued here, the Minister said that he had conducted the surprise check after receiving complaints from the public and elected members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
The minister who checked out the Directorate offices situated in Sector 17 and Sector 22 found officers and their subordinate staff members absent.
Mr Brahampura later summoned the absentee officers and other staff members and cautioned them not to repeat the same mistake again or else action would be taken against them. He asked them to work with dedication to resolve public grievances.
