Shahabuddin sent to AIIMS for medical check-up

Siwan, Jul 7 (UNI) Incarcerated RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin was today sent to the All India Institute of Medical Science for a post surgical medical check-up at New Delhi on the directive of Patna High court.

Official sources said here Mohammad Shahabuddin was sent to New Delhi under the security of a police team comprising 30 jawans of Special Auxiliary Police(SAP), three sub-inspectors, one inspector and a deputy police superintendent.

'' Mohammad Shahabuddin will undergo medical check up at AIIMs from July 8 to 10 and leave for Siwan on July 11,'' sources said.

Earlier, the RJD MP had urged Patna High Court to direct the state government to send him to AIIMS in New Delhi for post surgical medical check up, complaining that the state government was deliberately lingering the decision on the matter on one pretext or the other.

Accepting his plea, Patna High Court had allowed him for a medical check up at AIIMS.
