Licenced stall owners should not be shifted: CM

Mumbai, July 07 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has directed that the licensed stall owners in the city should not be shifted till the State Government announces its policy.

The licensed stall owners today met the Chief Minister at the Sahyadri Guest House here with the eviction notices issued to them by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. They demanded that they should not be included in the vendor's policy, as they were paying all the taxes. The authorised stall owners also demanded that they should be rehabilitated independently.

The Chief Minister has directed the BMC to formulate a different policy for the 3,929 licenced stall owners in the city.
