Jarnail Singh takes over as Secretary (Border Management)

New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI) Mr Jarnail Singh, a 1974 batch IAS officer of the Manipur-Tripura Cadre, today joined as Secretary (Border Management) in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He has replaced Mr Shantanu Consul who has been appointed as Secretary, Mines.

Mr Singh has held several important positions in the Cadre and at the Centre including that of the Chief Secretary, Manipur.
