Islamabad blast: Suicide bomber's head found
Islamabad, July 7 : Pakistan police on Monday found the head of alleged suicide bomber who blew himself up near Melody Chowk on Sunday, killing at least 21 people after the Lal Masjid Conference in Islamabad.
According to The News, suicide bomber's head was found from the roof of Aabpara police station. The head has been sent for plastic surgery.
Sources said the suicide bomber was carrying ten kilogram explosives.
Advisor to PM on Interior, Rehman Malik had announced cash prize of Rupees five million for information as regards the alleged suicide bomber.
Thousands of people, most of them madrassa students had gathered amidst tight security in Islamabad on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the storming of the Lal Masjid here by the army.
They had assembled on a street near the mosque for a conference organised by hardline religious groups.
Death toll is expected to mount considering the intensity of the blast.
Station House Officer Sehala, Inspector Sarwar also died in the blast.
