Implement e-governance in education field: Deshmukh

Mumbai, Jul 7 (UNI) Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today asked the information technology department to implement e-governance project in the education sector for the benefit of students, guardians and educational institutions.

Speaking at a meeting on e-governance here, Mr Deshmukh said the use of IT will benefit students to get acquainted with various courses and even employment opportunities.

Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation has shown its readiness to bear the responsibility of e-governance in education sector, while MGRMnet has also evinced interest in making all the data about education and employment, he added.
