Ex-BSP MP joins BJP

Lucknow, Jul 7 (UNI) Former Member of Parliament (MP) Poornima Verma today joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after quitting the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Uttar Pradesh.

Ms Verma joined the BJP along with some of her supporters in the presence of party's state unit president Dr Ramapati Ram Tripathi.

The former MP had fought the last Vidhan Sabha election from Mohanlalganj (reserved) seat on the BSP ticket.
