Daughter killed, father injured in accident

Fatehgarh Sahib, Jul 7 (UNI) A girl was killed while her father was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were travelling in was hit by a speeding truck in Mandi Gobindgarh.

Jarnail Singh, a resident of Chhoti Hebowal in Ludhiana, alongwith his daughter was on his way from Ludhiana to Ambala when a truck driver, who was driving in a negligent manner hit their motorcycle.

His daughter, Narbai Kaur, died on the spot while he sustained serious injuries.

The police has registered a case under various sections of the IPC against the truck driver Gurdas Chand, a resident of village Jaldi of district Hamirpur (HP).
