New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI) Expressing the hope that the party will return to power after the next assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress today said the Party was not isolated in the state.

"We are confident...We will come back to power,"AICC General Secretary Veerappa Moily told mediapersons, while reacting to the resignation of Congress Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad from his post after withdrawing the motion of confidence in the assembly.

Referring to the crisis to the government that was contributed by the withdrawal of support by the PDP on the Amarnath land issue, Mr Moily said " We consider the behaviour of the PDP is unfortunate." He said the Congress would come out with a detailed statement on the Amarnath land issue in a day or two.

Asked if Mr Azad would head the government in the event of the Congress being voted to power again, Mr Moily said the elected MLAs of the new assembly would elect its new leader.
