Cong sees destabilisation game, seeks restraint in Goa

Panaji, Jul 7 (UNI) Congress today blamed thaat 'certain communal forces' from the neighbouring state were out to destablise the party -led coalition government in Goa, and cautioned the people against falling prey to the communal cord.

Addressing mediapersons here, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Francisco Sardinha, refusing to identify these forces, said, the forces had earlier tried in vain to dislodge the Congress governments in the state.

As south Goa MP, he urged people not to be swayed by rumours floated by the vested interests in Margao, which was now limping back to normal after witnessing a communal riot last week.

The people themselves, he added, would teach a lesson to these communal elements, which were trying to divide people on religious lines.
