Widows in poor state in UP: Renuka Chaudhary
Varanasi, July 6 (UNI) Union Women and Child Welfare minister Renuka Chaudhary today criticised the Mayawati government in Uttar Pradesh for poor condition of widows and children.
''The Centre is allotting a good amount towards the welfare of women and children, but the state government is least interested in this,'' Ms Chaudhary claimed talking to newspersons here.
Ms Mayawati was only mis-utilising the funds, she added.
The minister said she would personally make a visit to assess the condition of the widows in the state.
She also talked about early marriages and child labour and said both the problems should be effaced soon.
