Thangam Moorthy nominated SAA Board

Pudukkottai, Jul 6: N Thangam Moorthy, Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers' Association's Pudukottai unit president, has been nominated member of the Sahitya Akademi's Tamil Advisory Board.

The membership would last till December 2012. A communication in this regard has been received by Mr Moorthy from the Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.

The Advisory Board's role is to recommend programmes in the language concerned and to assist and advise the Akademi in its various activities.
