'State govt cannot take action against ESIS hospitals'
Thane, July 6 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government cannot take action against the ESIS hospitals in the state as they come under the purview of the Central Government, Maharashtra Minister of State for Public Health Ranjit Kamble has said.
Mr Kamble's clarification came during a meeting discuss the problems faced by the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation regarding civic amenities.
The issue of shortage of doctors in district government hospitals was also raised at the meeting. To this, Public Health Minister Dr Vimal Mundada said Grade-II doctors would be made available in the vacant positions on top priority.
She also directed the medical officers of the various government hospitals to display prominent boards about availibility of anti-rabies injections.
