Mumbai, Jul 6 (UNI) A scuffle broke out between two groups during a cricket match at Deonar in North East Mumbai today, with police arresting four persons in this connection.

According to police sources, the groups of two communities were playing a cricket match at Deonar municipal ground this afternoon during which a member of a group urinated on the playground, as he was unable to control himself. The act was objected by the other group, triggerng a scuffle which later turned violent.

The sources said the group members pelted stones at each other and at the places of worship. When the police reached the spot, they hurled teargas shells and fired two rounds in the air and resorted to lathi charge to disperse the rioters. However, no one was reportedly injured in the incident.

Following this, the police have strengthened 'bandobast' in the area and have also deployed five companies of the state reserve police force. Patrolling in the area has been intensified, police said and added that situation is, however, under control.
