Former minister resigns from TDP to join new party
Hyderabad, Jul 6 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party suffered another setback with former Minister and party Kadapa District General Secretary Khaleel Pasha resigning from the party post and membership today.
According to party sources here, Mr Pasha had sent the resignation letter to Party President N Chandrababu Naidu. He was planning to join the party to be floated by matinee idol Chiranjeevi.
Another senior TDP leader and Rajya Sabha MP C Ramachandraiah, from Kadapa district, was also planning to quit the TDP to join Chairanjeevi's party, according to a close aide of Ramachandraiah.
Former MP Bhuma Nagi Reddy and his wife and TDP General Secretary Sobha Nagi Reddy, from Kurnool district had resigned from the party yesterday.
