Students run out of clssses fearing tremor
Puducherry, July 5 (UNI) Panic stricken students of a high school at Karuvadikuppam here today ran out of their classes as they felt a tremor and the building shaking.
Two girls fainted and some others vomited.
However, officals later clarified that it was suspected that the feeling of tremor was due to the usage of heavy machinery for the expansion of the runway of the Puducherry airport nearby.
Officials inspected the condition of the building and ordered the authorities to declare holiday for the school for the next seven days.
