Six killed, 16 injured as van hits lorry

Hyderabad, Jul 5: Six people, including a three-year-old boy and four women, were killed and 16 others seriuosly injured today when the van in which they were travelling collided head on with a lorry near Aitipamula Village in Nalgonda District, 150 km away from here.

Police said the van, carrying about 30 labourers, proceeding from Kattamguru to Damalur in Krishna District, hit the lorry, which was coming from the opposite direction. Two women, a van driver and the boy were killed on the spot. Two other women succumbed to injuries en route to hospital.

The injured were admitted to the Nalgonda Government Hosptial and other private clinics.
