Sec 144 enforced in Baradari Gardens area

Patiala, Jul 5 (UNI) District Magistrate D S Grewal today issued prohibitory orders under section 144 in and around the Circuit House situated at Baradari Gardens here in view of any possible congregation of Congress workers during the interrogation of former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh by the vigilance Bureau tomorrow.

Capt. Singh is facing a corruption case for allegedly amassing assets and wealth disproportionate to the known sources of income.

An official spokesman said the prohibitory orders had been enforced in around the Circuit House in the radius of one kilometre of the area.

Baradari Gardens will be sealed on Sunday morning by police, said a senior police officer. Traffic will be diverted, he said.
