Rs 532 cr relief for ryots under loan waiver scheme

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, July 5 (UNI) Over 2.49 lakh farmers in East Godavari District will get debt relief to the tune of Rs 532.73 crore under the loan waiver scheme announced by the Centre.

The loan waiver will be affected by holding 'Runa Vimukti Melas' from July eight to July 20.

The modalities of application of the scheme have been discussed at a meeting convened here today by District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi with bankers and the agricultural officers.

The Collector said the mela will commence on July eight simultaneously in Rajahmundry Rural Mandal and also at Kothapet Mandal.

The village wise beneficiaries list will be prepared and awareness will be created on the application of the scheme among the farmers.
