Robbers' gang busted
Phagwara, Jul 5 (UNI) In a major success, Phagwara Police busted an inter-district gang of robbers by arresting its three members near Sangatpur village today.
Police recovered a 38 bore reovolver, three live cartridges, a stolen motorcycle, two gold chains, twelve mobiles and two knives from their possession, Phagwara DSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh told newsmen here.
Five accompliances of those arrested, however, managed to escape,he said. The gang was operating in Phagwara besides the districts of Jalandhar, Kapurthla and Hoshiarpur, he added.
