Prisoner slit another's throat in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jul 5: A convict in a murder case today seriously injured another jail inmate by slitting his throat with a sharp blade at Nizamabad district prison.

The jail authorities said Narasimhulu attacked Shankar, hailing from Tanur Village of Adilabad District, when he was sleeping in his room. The victim was rushed to hosptial and his condition was stated to be critical.

The reason behind the attack was not known.
