NR raids reservation, parcel offices to nab touts
New Delhi, Jul 5 (UNI) To curb menace of touts, the anti-fraud team of Northern Railway carried out several raids and arrested nine touts.
During a raid at reservation office Okhla, two touts were apprehended and 10 reserved tickets were seized from them recently.
Seven touts were also apprehended for canvassing booking/loading of parcels at Parcel office, Delhi yesterday.
They were handed over to the RPF for prosecution under section 143/144 of the Railway Act.
The NR said it could continue with the raids in the coming days.
