Muslim Federation criticises J

Jammu, Jul 5 (UNI) The Muslim Federation has condemned the Jammu and Kashmir government for revoking order of transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board(SASB) and said the government has handled the sensitive issue with callousness.

''Governor Rule should immediately be imposed in the State as in the given set of circumstances both government and Mr N N Vohra (Governor) have failed, while new Governor from Jammu region should be appointed in State,'' H A Siddiqui, general secretary of Muslim Federation here said while addressing a press conference yesterday.

Mr Siddiqui lauded the role of BJP and Sangarsh Simiti- a conglomeration of various political and non-political parties fighting for the land, in alleviating fear psychosis from the Muslim community of Jammu region.

However, Mr Siddiqui while expressing the concern over the stray incidents of burning temporary shelters of Gujjars in the region, appealed the saffron brigade to take care of such incidents and also condemned attacks on Amarnath pilgrims terming them as unislamic and unethical.
