Murder accused escape from police custody
Sidhi(MP), July 5 (UNI) An undertrial prisoner, who was taken to an examination centre for appearing in Sanskrit Board examination, escaped from police custody at Semaria in this district of Madhya Pradesh, police said.
Two police constables Santosh Kol and Santosh Singh, who accompanied murder accused Umesh Shukla, were suspended for dereliction in duty, Superintendent of Police R K Marathe said.
The criminal gave a slip to the constables even as the examination was in progress yesterday at a school, he added.
