Martyrs' villages to be developed in Punjab
Ludhiana, Jul 5 (UNI) The Punjab government today decided to develop villages and towns belonging to martyrs as a mark of respect to them.
This was informed by state Minister for Jails, Tourism, Cultural and Affairs Hira Singh Gabria whille presiding over a state-level function organised to commemorate the 152th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Baba Maharaj Singh at his native Rabbon Uchi village, 50 km from here.
Paying rich tributes to Shaheed Baba Maharaj Singh, he regretted that after the Independence, the Congress had completely ignored the sacrifices of martyrs and freedom fighters.
Mr Gabria exhorted the people to jointly work for making India a nation dreamt by the martyrs and it would be the real tribute to them.
