Kumaraswamy ready to face inquiry in mining scam

Bangalore, Jul 5 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said he was ready to face an inquiry into the alleged Rs 150 crore mining scam, involving him, his father and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and brother.

Talking to newspersons here, he said those who are making allegations against his family(referring to the BJP) frequently have failed to produce concrete evidence. The sinister campaign was designed with a systematic and orchestrated campaign by vested interests to tarnish his image, he added.

Mr Kumaraswamy said he is ready to face inquiry by any agency, including Central Bureau of Investigation.

The former Chief Minister said the party(BJP) which made the baseless allegation during his tenure is ruling the destiny of the State and it is for them to prove their charges against him.

He said Janata Dal(S) would contest alone in the elections to the Bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and also for the Lok Sabha elections.
