Godman calls on TN CM

Chennai, Jul 5 (UNI) After Sri Satya Sai Baba of Prashanthi Nilayam, now it was the turn of another spiritual leader Bangaru Adigalar to call on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, a known atheist.

The spiritual leader along with his wife Lakshmi Bangaru Adigalar, who administers the famous Goddess Adi Parasakthi Amman Temple at Melmaruvathur, about 100 km from here, called on Mr Karunanidhi at the latter's Gopalapuram Residence this evening.

During the brief meeting, the couple offered temple prasad to the Chief Minister and his wife Dayalu Ammal.

Later, Ms Lakshmi told reporters the meeting was a courtesy call.

Sri Satya Sai Baba called on Mr Karunanidhi to invite him for a function to launch the canal strengthening works with regard to Poondi Reservoir to bring Krishna water to Chennai.

Mr Karunandihi also shared the dias with Sri Satya Baba in the city in connection with the function.
