Fire in Jenab Sahib shrine

Srinagar Jul 5 (UNI) A fire broke out in the Jenab Sahib Shrine -- housing holy relic of Prophet Mohammad -- at Soura in the outskirts of the city today, official sources said.

However, the fire was brought under control by police and local residents. The fire tenders also rushed to the area to put off the flames.

A police spokesman informed that no damage was caused to the shrine. Senior police officers who rushed to the spot said it looked a case of accidental fire.

However the Police is investigating further in the matter, he said.
