Indefinite curfew imposed in Indore
Indore, Jul 5: Two persons were killed and seven injured as fresh communal violence rocked a number of areas here on Friday, July 4, taking the death toll to six in two days of clashes between the two communities over Amarnath land transfer row, after which indefinite curfew was imposed in the entire city.
The government's decision of transferring 40 acres of forestland to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has triggered large-scale protests and violence in the state. After hue and cry and nearly two weeks of the row over the 40-acre land allotted to the Amarnath shrine, the Jammu and Kashmir Government had two days ago revoked the allotted land and had passed on the land to the State Tourism Department.
