Aamir Khan addresses media after the release of 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na'

Mumbai, July 5 : Bollywood actor Aamir Khan addressed the media in Mumbai after the release of the film- 'Jaane Tu. Ya Jaane Na', a teen-comedy love story that marked the debut of actor Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan.

The cast and the crew of the film were present on the occasion.

Aamir Khan, Bollywood actor and director was keeping his fingers crossed not only because the film was produced by his home productions called 'Aamir Khan Productions' but also because of his nephew Imran Khan making his debut with this film.

"I'm happy to be interacting with the media and the audiences after the release of the film and I think that's very important process for me. As far as my confidence level goes I think since the reports have been coming in since the morning the opening of the film has been as big as Shahrukh, Hrithik or my films and that's a crazy thing and unbelievable. The reactions that are coming in from the audiences all across the country have been very strong so I'm feeling little bit more confident," said Aamir Khan.

The film, a directorial debut of Abbas Tyrewallah, focused on teenage love, with equally young background score given by music director A.R Rehman.

Tyrewallah had all praise for Aamir Khan, on whose advice he had changed the script, which was earlier predominantly in English.

"The script which I took to him (Aamir Khan) was 40 per cent in English but Aamir told me to change it into Hindi as I would be loosing out on lot many audience but I feared that my script won't look modern. However his advise really worked," said Tyrewallah.

Newcomer Imran Khan and Genelia D'souza marked their Bollywood debut with this film.

The narrative set in current milieu revolves around a group of friends, while focusing on two best buddies who are in love but are in state of denial. As the narrative continues, duo realizes the love for each other amid friendly tit bits and emotional moments.

Aamir Khan and Naseeruddin Shah are seen doing cameos in the film.

Imran khan appeared all excited but also nervous for his first film, which will also lay path for his entry in Bollywood.

The flick is releasing with 473 prints worldwide, which includes 282 analog prints, 81 digital screens and 110 prints overseas.

'Jaane Tu Yaa Jane Na' opened nationwide on Friday.
