3 smugglers caught with charas

Gorakhpur, Jul 5: The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police today said they have apprehended three smugglers and seized four kg charas from cantt area of the district.

On a tip off, police cordoned of the area, where they were hiding near railway station, and caught them red-handed with the illegal substance, the police said.

Of the arrested, two hailed from this district, while another belonged to Nepal.

On interrogation, the trio confessed their crime and said they were to sell the charas in Kanpur or Delhi.
