Waqf Board Chairman Umar Ali dies

Malappuram, Jul 3: Waqf Board Chairman and Kerala state president of Sunni Yuvajana Sangham(SYS), Umar Ali Shihab Thangal died of brief illness here tonight.

He was 62 and is survived by wife Mulla Beevi, four daughters and two Sons.

Brother of Indian Union Muslim League state unit president Panakkad Syed Mohammad Ali Shihab Thangal, Umar Ali was also a working commitee member of the party in the state.

His burial will be held at Panakkad Juma Masjid tomorrow, family sources said.
