Tight security for Dera chief's court appearance
Ambala, Jul 4 (UNI) The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements in view of the scheduled appearance of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the special CBI court here tomorrow.
The Dera chief, facing trial in murder and rape cases being pursued by the CBI, has of late been receiving threats from the Sikh organisations from Punjab following the killing of a Sikh youth by his gunman at Mumbai last month.
There had been countrywide protests by the Sikhs against dera chief and some organisations have threatened to kill him. The Sikhs have demanded that the dera chief should not be allowed to address his followers who gather in thousands here at the time of his personal appearance in the court.
