Man 'gives birth' in America

London, Jul4 : Thomas Beatie, the transgendered pregnant man, has given birth to a healthy baby girl.The child had been due to be delivered on July 3 by Caesarean section, but bearded transsexual Thomas went into labour early and had to be rushed to hospital on June 29.

The US man, who made headlines after declaring that he was pregnant, calls his baby girl "little miracle". The tot was delivered in secret the same day in a special section of the hospital away from the other mums. "Thomas gave birth without any problems at all, but amid tight security," The Sun quoted a source, as saying. "The baby girl is healthy and mother - or father - and baby have been allowed to leave the hospital," the source added. Thomas - who was born female but became a man in his 20s - is now hoping to strike a 500,000 pounds deal for the exclusive first pictures of his baby. He has also had a documentary team following him during the last months of his pregnancy.
