PDP criticises authorities for banning separatists' visit
Srinagar, Jul 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticised the authorities for banning the visit of separatists and other Muslim leaders to holy Hazratbal shrine today.
In a statement here today, the PDP general secretary Nizam-u-Din Bhat has termed government restrictions imposed on the Muslim leaders including some Muslim clerics, who were supposed to address the Friday congregation at the shrine today, as an interference in religious affairs.
He said such restrictions would encourage communal polarisation in the state.
''In a democratic and secular set-up such restrictions are totally uncalled for,'' Bhat added.
