Coca Cola to invest 25 crore dollars
Kolkata, Jul 04 (UNI) Beverage giant Coca Cola would invest 25 crore dollars in the country over the next three years to promote brands in the sparkling beverage, juice, juice drinks, water and tea and coffee.
'' We have invested close to one billion dollars in India over the past ten years. We plan to pump in 250 million dollars in the n ext three years in these categories, '' Coca Cola India President and Chief Executive Officer Atul Singh said here today.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, Mr Singh said the company considered India as strategically important in its global business ventures.
'' We will utilise the investments for promoting our brands and buying equipment, '' he said.
A leader in the sparkling drink category with 60 per cent market share, Coca Cola grew by 13 per cent in terms of unit case volume in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal.
