Aviation Companies reduce flight services on poor response
Mumbai, Jul 4 (UNI) The recent hike in price of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has taken its toll, with many aviation companies reducing the flight services, citing 'poor response' by passengers.
Air India official Jeetendra Bhargav said that in last fortnight, AI had withdrawn at least 35 flights on the domestic sector, considering the 'poor response' by passengers.
''The decision was taken keeping in mind the economic situation,'' he added.
Though officials of other airlines like Jet, Spice, Indigo and Kingfisher, refused to comment, Aviation industry sources have confirmed that following the footsteps of national carrier, most of the other companies have also started cutting down their operations.
