HIL appointed project management consultant for SmartCity Kochi
Kochi, Jul 3 (UNI) The Directors' Board Meeting of the SmartCity Kochi, a joint venture between the Kerala Government and SmartCity, Dubai today decided to appoint US-based HIL International as the Project Management consultant, which would co-ordinate between the master planner and infrastructure consultant.
In the meeting chaired by Chairman and State Minister S Sarma, it was decided that the American company would co-ordinate between master planner Colin Buchanan and infrastructure consultant Mouchel.
It was also decided that the lease agreement for the 11.7 acres of land should be completed within a week.
The meeting also took a decision that the State Government would make efforts to get SEZ status for the whole of 246 acres of land and would send application to the Centre and SEZ approval committee.
The meeting was attended by SmartCity CEO Fareed Abdulrahman, Board Members -- State IT Secretary Ajay Kumar, SmartCity officials Annirudh Danke, Mithun Beeru, Suleiman Al-Riyami and Jin Wan Choi.
