HC dimisses Madhavan's bail plea

Kochi, Jul 3 (UNI) Kerala High Court today dismissed the bail plea of a fake Swami Santhosh Madhavan.

The Director General of Prosecutions P G Thampi informed the Court that investigation was at a preliminary stage and it was being conducted by a special team under the guidance of Crime Branch IG.

He also submitted that a petition seeking the custody of Madhavan was pending before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ernakulam.

Accepting these contentions, a single Judge Mr Justice K Hema dismissed the bail application filed by Madhavan, who was arrested on charges of rape and cheating in May.
