Clerks threaten strike in MP

Jabalpur, Jul 3 (UNI) Clerks in government offices across Madhya Pradesh will go on an indefinite strike from July 4 to protest the ''disparity'' in their pay scales.

In a statement here yesterday, state Lipik Vargiya Shaskiya Karmachari Sangh District president R S Mishra said the Sangh had given the call for the strike and had also informed the Chief Secretary.

''We had been agitating for a long time against the salary disparity but the state government had been ignoring our demands,'' he added.
