BJP stages 'dharna' against J
Panaji, July 3 (UNI) BJP state unit today staged a ''dharna'', near the Old Secretariat complex, condemning the Congress-led Jammu and Kashmir government for revocation of its order transferring land to the Amarnath Shrine.
BJP state unit president and MP Shripad Naik led the dharna, which lasted three hours. The activists, including women, holding placards and party banners, raised slogans demanding removal of the Gulam Nabi Azad's government in the valley.
However, a 'bandh' was not observed in Goa, unlike the other states of the country, on Vishwa Hindu Parishad's call for 'Bharat Bandh'.
Tight security arrangements were made at the dharna site, with even combat police posted as a precautionary measure.
