Belthangadi records 6 cm rainfall

Bangalore, July 3 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over the State.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Belthangadi 6; Kadra 4; Mulki 3; Kota, Karkala, Shirali, Agumbe, Bangalore City, Bangalore Airport 2 each; Bajpe, Bantwal, Subramanya, Udupi, Siddapura(Udupi dt), Bhatkal, Gerusoppa, Khanapur, Linganamakki, Talaguppa, Sringeri, Kammardi 1 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin:Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Shimoga, Kodagu, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy sky. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night.
